Nicolson Square

March 2024, meeting place Nicolson Square

Theme - Symmetry

Weather - Cold, mix of clouds and sunshine

Refreshments - Potterrow (reasonable prices and great bacon rolls)

We all took the theme very seriously. None of us were quite sure what this photo was, but it was a great example of symmetry. (Kate)

Colin captured this view of the slatted windows above the modern extension to the McEwan Hall.

Ada followed the theme as closely as everyone, but we were all captivated by this image she took of a pigeon in Nicolson Square.

Malcom managed to capture an image which exemplified repetition (last week's theme) as well as this week's theme of symmetry.

A side entrance to the McEwan hall. Photographer Alex confessed he didn't actually like this image. The rest of the group disagreed.

Maggie's image of the Informatics Forum captured the feel of an album cover. Remember them?

Alison's photo reveals more symmetry the closer you look. See how the pothole in the bottom right corner is reflected in the top left corner? Edinburgh roads, eh? Got to love them!
